I just completed my first animated action sequence using the Norman rig. Not using any particular reference, this piece looks at different heroic poses and actions. The reason I chose this route instead of dialogue was an effort to broaden my strengths into the gaming arena, as this would probably be the kind of animation used (especially the idle standby pose, as seen when he gets up after the fall). The hardest part, in terms of development, was getting the weight and secondary actions looking fluid- especially the launch off the bar and onto the platform towards the end. There was also a heavy amount of polish that needed to happen, looking for different opportunities for arcs and breaking of the joints at the right times. I'm moving onto another action sequence, this time using three different rigs. There is also one another dialogue in the final polish stages and should be up soon. Thanks!
